Some athletes like to bring a Special Needs bag with personal items not provided at feed stations, such as favourite snacks, drinks, chamois cream, spare clothing, or bike spares.
Your bag will be available at Bike Feed Station 2, which you’ll pass three times (approx. 42, 72, and 102 miles).
If you need items during the run, you can store them in your transition bags and access them in the Change Tent each lap.
Please bring your own bag, clearly labelled with your race number, and use items you’re not worried about losing. While bags are returned to site and can be collected from the Stores area by the Boathouses (Sunday evening or Monday morning), most are not reclaimed. Due to perishables, unclaimed bags are emptied and disposed of after the event.
Valuables are kept with lost property for 4 weeks, and we’ll try to contact you if your labelled bag contains anything of value. Unclaimed bike spares are reused to help other athletes at future events.
You must drop your Special Needs bag during registration (before 15:00 Saturday). There will be numbered boxes, please place your bag in the one matching your race number.
We cannot accept bags on Sunday morning.
