How does transition work at Outlaw Nottingham Sprint?

Modified on Thu, 9 Oct, 2025 at 2:19 PM

Please note that there are no changing facilities in the Transition area and nudity is not allowed, so please keep that in mind when preparing for the race. You can leave a small bag at your racking point (think cabin baggage) but there is no other bag storage in transition.

Once you have registered and collected your Race Pack please put your security wristband on your wrist as a bracelet (you will need this for access to transition at all times so do not remove it until you are on your way home) and apply your bike frame number to your bike. Both of these need to be done before you will be able to gain access to the transition area. Spectators are not allowed to access the transition area at any time.

At Nottingham, Sprint Transition will be split between T1 and T2 and will be open on Saturday only. T1 will be located by swim start at the end of the lake and should have just your bike and cycling kit in. You can access T1 by walking from Registration in the Event Village, round the back of the main buildings, down the grass slope and across the top of the Boathouses. You will then access T2 by walking through T1 and across the bike course towards the main building and should set up your run kit by your number. When you finish racing you can exit T2, having collected your wetsuit and bike by the disabled ramp. Please clear your kit from transition as soon as you have finished as there will be another wave of athletes after you waiting to set up their transition areas.

The Final Race Information will have details of the flow through transition and where each in and out point will be, but please allow yourself time to familiarise yourself with the layout before you race so your transitions go as smoothly as possible. There will be also be volunteers in the area that you can ask questions of if you are unsure of anything.
